Growing up in a family of musician, Minh-Trang Nguyen started her interest with music when she was 4. Beginning with đàn Tranh (Vietnamese Zither) as her first major instrument, she also plays “đàn Đá” (stone instrument), “đànT’rưng” (bamboo instrument), etc. and other Vietnamese traditional music instruments. After graduating from the Hanoi Conservatory of Music, she went to China in 2012 to study Guzheng at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Currently, she is pursuing a master degree of Ethnomusicology at the Haute école de musique de Genève, and in parallel working as an independent musician in Lausanne, Switzerland.
